Our Story

A Family Shop, Three Generations Deep.

D. Searcy Custom Cabinetry is a veteran owned family shop in Lenoir City building custom cabinetry and fine woodwork for homes across the Knoxville area since 1997. Led by Dewayne Searcy, we are third generation craftsmen, which means the standards we hold were handed down to us, not written for a brochure.

Every piece is designed for your space and built by hand in our own shop.

You can trust us with your home. That is how three generations of this family have earned their name.

In The Shop

Built By Hand, Start To Finish

Watch Dewayne build custom cabinetry in our own shop, the same way three generations of this family always have.

In Their Words

Homes Across Knox County.

"

We had cabinet bids from three shops and D. Searcy was the only one who sat at our table and sketched the whole kitchen by hand. The walnut island they built is the first thing every guest walks up to. Worth every dollar.

Karen & Mike H., Farragut, TN.

"

Our outdoor kitchen takes a beating from the weather and two years in it still looks like the day they installed it. You can tell these are people who build things to last.

Dale R., Lenoir City, TN.

"

They built floor to ceiling shelving around our fireplace and matched the trim in a nineteen forties house so well you cannot tell where the old work stops and theirs begins. True craftsmen.

Allison T., Knoxville, TN.

How It Works

Three Steps to Custom.

1

Reach Out

Call or text and tell us what you have in mind. We will set a time to come see the space and talk through what you want.

2

Design & Build

We hand draw the plans, choose the wood and finish with you, and build every piece in our own shop. You see it come together before it ever reaches your home.

3

We Install

We set everything in place, handle the finish details, and walk the finished work with you. You are left with a piece built to last for decades.

Good Questions

Before You Hire a Cabinetmaker.

Most custom kitchens run several weeks from approved design to installation depending on the size and the wood and finishes you choose. We give you a realistic timeline up front and keep you posted as the build moves along.

Yes. Every piece is built by hand in our shop here in the Lenoir City area, not ordered from a catalog and assembled on site. That is what lets us match your home exactly.

We work in a wide range of hardwoods and finishes, from painted maple to natural walnut, oak, cherry, and more. We help you choose the species and finish that fit your home and the way you use the space.

We handle the design with you from the first conversation. We measure, sketch the plans by hand, and refine them with you, though we are glad to work from a designer or architect drawings if you already have them.

We serve Knoxville, Lenoir City, Farragut, Maryville, Oak Ridge, Loudon, Sevierville, and the surrounding Knox County and lake communities. If you are nearby and not sure, just call and ask.
